Cheryl's passion is creating beautiful homes and interiors and has been decorating fine homes in Atlanta, Auburn, and the Lake Martin area for over twenty years. For years she was co-owner of an upscale home furnishings shop in Auburn, Alabama that specializes in Country French and English antiques, and she has an expert understanding of how to incorporate these pieces into updated twenty-first-century interiors. Her mastery of space planning and her eye for the proper placement of furniture, accessories, and art are the primary elements of her successful designs. Above all, Cheryl wants her interiors to reflect the homeowner's personality, while being warm, inviting, and welcoming. She lives with her husband in the 'ultimate antique', an lovingly-restored antebellum Alabama raised cottage.
For many years, Susan has helped clients make their homes more beautiful. A graduate of Auburn University College of Engineering, Susan combines a structured approach to design with a creative flair and love of color and fabrics to create rooms with an impeccable attention to style and scale. Susan owned a custom drapery workroom where she began perfecting the art of designing and fabricating custom window coverings and bedding -- taking designs from concept to completion with the highest quality workmanship. She believes that the best spaces are those that masterfully combine pieces from different eras and styles together in a way that is cohesive and complementary. Clients love her organization, vision, confidence, and unflappable calm.
The first step is to schedule an in-home consultation. Cheryl and Susan will come to your home to discuss your interior design needs. You should be prepared to discuss your ideas, your budget, and any specific requests/requirements that you have. Preliminary measurements and photos will be taken. There will be no charge for the first hour of the consultation. Additional time will be billed at an hourly rate.
If, after the initial consultation, you choose to move forward to the next step, the Legacy Residential Interiors team will prepare a personalized design plan that is within your budget. Depending on the scope of the project, the plan may include fabrics, paint colors, furnishings, lighting, space planning, accessories, art, etc. Within the next few weeks, the team will return to your home to present this customized plan. If you approve the design plan and accompanying budget, Cheryl and Susan will get to work right away!
Design fees compensate Cheryl and Susan for their ideas, their expertise, and their time. If the scope of the job is relatively small, fees will be billed on an hourly basis. If the scope is large and includes multiple rooms/spaces, a flat fee will be negotiated before the project begins.
Legacy Residential Interiors has designed and installed living rooms, dining rooms, family rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and more in homes across metro Atlanta and east Alabama.

Legacy Residential Interiors is a full-service interior decorating company founded by the mother-daughter team of Cheryl Daniel and Susan Daniel Campbell. The two have worked in the field both separately and collaboratively for many years, but officially started Legacy Residential Interiors in early 2014. This accurately describes the love of home and eye for design that Cheryl has given Susan. They also strongly believe that a beautiful home that provides comfort to family and welcomes friends is a legacy and family tradition that should be cherished by all.
